Carolyn Robinson BEd Hons –
Primary Physical Education
Carolyn is an enthusiastic and
experienced educationalist with a
commitment to lifelong learning and
high quality professional
development. Originally trained as a
primary teacher with a specialism
for Physical Education she spent a
number of years in teaching, then
became a local authority PE adviser
where she continued to develop her
specialism over a 13 year period.
She is a skilled trainer,
facilitator and coach with a
specialist understanding and passion
for physical education and active
learning.
Throughout her career she has led
and managed specific Government PE
and School Sport initiatives,
designing bespoke professional
development opportunities for
teachers and the wider workforce.
She has worked as a Healthy Schools
moderator and was an active member
of the Healthy Schools Quality
Assurance Group for Warwickshire,
advising on the physical activity
strand. More recently within her
role as an independent consultant,
she has taught the Physical
Education modules for the Post
Graduate Certificate in Education
course at the University of Warwick,
and will take on the role of Link
Tutor in September 2011.
Her deep
understanding and commitment to
physical education have led Carolyn
to share her expertise in an
exciting range of settings. Always
rooted in real practice, Carolyn
shows how active learning can be
part of the whole curriculum.
Whether she is working with teachers
and their classes, teaching
assistants, or midday supervisors,
her infectious enthusiasm soon has
everyone on their feet and enjoying
lively, playful activity. Everyone
comes away from their time spent
with her full of practical ideas to
take back and use in their own
setting.
Carolyn is a member of the
Association for Physical Education
and has recently gained approved
provider status as an individual
providing professional development
in PE, from the National
Professional Development Board for
Physical Education.
